The most recent MOT (5 December 2025) was passed at 36,110 miles, but it flagged three serious safety items: the brake‑fluid warning lamp was on at the maximum level, the front brake discs were described as worn, pitted or scored, and both front tyres were judged to be worn close to the legal limit. Those are the items that need immediate attention. Looking back through the MOT record, a pattern of tyre wear emerges. In 2021 the rear tyres were already noted as slightly damaged or cracking, and in 2022 the rear‑right tyre was again close to the legal limit. By 2025 the front tyres have reached the same condition. The only other defect recorded was a minor rear‑exhaust leak in 2022, which has not re‑appeared in later tests. Apart from the tyre issues, the MOT history is otherwise clean. The trend is therefore worsening rather than stable. Tyre wear has progressed from rear to front over the four‑year span, and the brake system now shows the first signs of degradation (disc surface condition and brake‑fluid warning). The exhaust leak was a one‑off and does not appear to be a recurring problem.
