2013 Peugeot Expert 2.0L Diesel · SF13 AAX

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status based on a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test conducted on 3 August 2023 at 270,030 miles resulted in no recorded defects or advisories. This suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard that meets minimum legal safety requirements without the recurring failures often seen in high-mileage commercial vans. The mileage pattern indicates intensive commercial use for a 13-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 20,000 miles per year. Between July 2019 and August 2023, the vehicle covered 152,704 miles, representing a significant workload of nearly 38,000 miles annually. This rapid accumulation places extreme stress on the drivetrain, suspension components, and braking system, yet the lack of advisories across these high-mile intervals suggests the vehicle was likely used for long-distance motorway transit rather than frequent stop-start-start city driving. Given the exceptionally high mileage and the age of the Peugeot Expert, a physical inspection must focus on the components most susceptible to heavy-duty wear. A buyer should specifically scrutinize the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers for signs of fatigue or perished rubber. The braking system requires a check for binding calipers and thin discs, as the MOT test does not measure the remaining life of pads or the condition of rotors until they reach a failure threshold. Additionally, the structural integrity of the chassis and mounting points should be verified to ensure that the heavy usage has not led to accelerated corrosion or stress fractures.
