2012 Toyota Avensis 2.2L Diesel · SL12 PUV

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test conducted on 6 March 2026 at 96,888 miles resulted in no defects, maintaining a stable trend of excellence over the last five years. This suggests a proactive maintenance regime where the previous owners have likely addressed minor issues before they escalated into MOT failures or recorded structural advisories. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent with a low-use vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 7,000 miles per annum. A notable period of activity occurred between February 2023 at 81,883 miles and March 2024 at 90,195 miles, where the car covered over 8,000 miles in a year. Since then, the accumulation has slowed to a stead rate of roughly 3,700 miles per year. This low annual mileage profile generally reduces the likelihood of significant mechanical wear on the drivetrain components and suspension bushings typically seen on high-mileage saloons. Because the record shows no recurring faults or lingering advisories, a physical inspection should focus on age-related degradation rather than mechanical neglect. A buyer should check for early-stage corrosion on the sills and exhaust system, which can affect even low-mileage vehicles over time. Inspect the condition of rubber suspension components and brake boots for cracking, as these materials perish over fourteen years regardless of the distance driven.
