2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA 1.6L Petrol · SM17 AZD

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistent maintenance record over the last four years. The most recent test on 19 May 2025 at 32,734 miles resulted in an initial failure for a non-functional offside front main beam headlight, which was rectified immediately to achieve a pass with no further defects. Prior to this, the car maintained consecutive clean passes without advisories, suggesting that the vehicle has been maintained to a high standard without neglect. The mileage pattern is notably low for a nine-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,637 miles per annum. Data shows a steady but incremental progression, moving from 16,430 miles in May 2022 to 32,734 miles in May 2025. This low-usage profile typically implies less wear on high-stress components like the engine, gearbox, and suspension. However, long periods of inactivity can sometimes lead to the degradation of rubber-based components or brake corrosion if the vehicle sits stationary for extended durations between tests. Since the MOT history shows no history of structural corrosion, brake failures, or mechanical defects, the buyer should focus on physical checks related to low-mileage storage. Inspect the brake discs for surface pitting or scoring and check the tyres for age-related cracking despite adequate tread depth. Examine the suspension bushes and rubber seals for per, as these can perish regardless of low mileage. The lack of recorded advisories throughout the history indicates the vehicle is likely in good mechanical condition.
