2012 Volvo XC60 2.4L Diesel · SY12 PXO

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the most recent MOT data. The latest test conducted on September 2, 2025 at 125,323 miles returned no defects or advisories, indicating that the car is currently maintained to a high standard. While a failure occurred mid-September 2024, the issues were rectified quickly within five days to achieve a clean retest. This suggests the owner is proactive in addressing mechanical faults once they are identified. The mileage pattern is consistent with typical usage for a fourteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 9,000 miles per annum. Between September 2022 and September 2023, the car covered 10,043 miles, while the subsequent intervals saw slightly lower annual figures of 8,265 miles and 8,606 miles respectively. This steady accumulation suggests the car is used regularly rather than left to sit for long periods, which is generally beneficial for the preservation of rubber components, seals, and braking systems that can otherwise seize. Given the clean nature of the three most recent pass results, a physical inspection should focus on common wear points for the XC60 at this mileage bracket. The buyer should examine the suspension bushes and wish arm mounts for signs of tearing, as these often degrade after the 100,000-mile mark. Additionally, checking for corrosion on the chassis and the condition of the exhaust system is prudent, though the record does not yet flag structural integrity or significant corrosion issues.
