2010 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · T55 YCY

The 2010 Honda Jazz demonstrates a stable and highly positive maintenance trend. The most recent MOT on 30 June 2025 at 77,534 miles passed with zero defects. Every recorded test since 2022 has passed cleanly, indicating no recurring mechanical or structural faults. The mileage accumulation is notably low for a vehicle of this age, averaging roughly 4,846 miles annually. Between the 2024 test on 28 June at 68,437 miles and the 2025 test on 30 June at 77,534 miles, the car covered 9,097 miles in a single year. This contrasts sharply with the preceding period from January 2022 at 56,038 miles to July 2023 at 60,135 miles, where only 4,097 miles were added over eighteen months. The record shows a distinct shift from prolonged, very light use to more regular, higher mileage driving. Despite the clean MOT record, low-mileage vehicles that stand for long periods face specific risks. The sudden increase in annual mileage means a buyer should inspect the condition of the brake discs and pads for surface corrosion from standing, as well as checking the tyres for flat-spotting or perishing. Suspension bushes and coil springs require a physical check for deterioration, as infrequent use does not exempt rubber components from degrading. Examine the exhaust system for condensation-related corrosion and verify the structural integrity of the underbody, ensuring no rust has taken hold during the periods of dormancy.
