1999 Toyota Corolla 1.3L Petrol · T986 AAG

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its last five consecutive MOT tests, the most recent on 2025-06-09 at 87,721 miles. All annual inspections from 2021 to 2025 show consistent compliance, indicating reliable maintenance practices by previous owners. No advisories or failures were noted across brake systems, suspension components, or structural integrity, suggesting the car has been well-preserved. The absence of recurring issues over this period implies no escalating mechanical concerns. The mileage progression reveals a low annual average of approximately 3,249 miles, reflecting minimal usage or extended periods of inactivity. From 2021-05-27 (80,894 miles) to 2025-06-09 (87,721 miles), the car gained 6,827 miles over four years, with each MOT occurring roughly 12 months apart. This steady accumulation suggests regular but light operation, reducing wear on consumables like tyres and wiper blades. However, the low mileage may also indicate potential dry rot in rubber components or seized moving parts, warranting closer inspection. While the MOT history shows no critical failures, a buyer should verify the condition of suspension bushes, coil springs, and exhaust emissions, as these are not routinely tested but crucial for long-term reliability. The absence of corrosion reports is positive, but the car’s age necessitates checking for rust in load-bearing structures. Brake discs and calipers should be examined for uneven wear or binding, as these can develop unnoticed over time. The vehicle’s maintenance record is clean, but physical inspection remains essential to confirm its mechanical health.
