2012 Audi A5 4.2L Petrol · T99 ABO

The vehicle demonstrates a stable roadworthiness trend, with all five consecutive MOT tests passing without defects. The most recent 2025-09-13 inspection at 63,074 miles confirmed no issues, aligning with prior results from 2024-09-03 (59,102 miles) and 2023-09-18 (57,806 miles). No recurring mechanical or structural faults were recorded across the 14-year lifespan, suggesting consistent maintenance or minimal operational stress. The absence of advisories or failures indicates the car has been operated within acceptable parameters, though low mileage raises questions about long-term component integrity. The recorded mileage of 63,074 miles over 14 years equates to approximately 4,505 miles annually, significantly below the UK average for similar-aged vehicles. This pattern suggests either infrequent use or extended periods of inactivity, which can accelerate wear on rubber components, electrical systems, and fluid degradation. Notably, the 2021-09-09 test at 51,077 miles to 2022-08-29 (54,594 miles) shows a 3,517-mile increase over 11 months, followed by a 2,212-mile rise by 2023-09-18. These intervals lack significant anomalies, but the prolonged low-mileage trajectory warrants scrutiny of internal corrosion and fluid freshness. A buyer should prioritize inspecting suspension components, particularly upper and lower control arms, as low-mileage vehicles often experience bushing hardening or ball joint stiffness. Brake systems, including caliper movement and disc warping, should be verified, as infrequent use can lead to corrosion. Structural integrity remains unimpeached by the records, but the lack of high-mileage wear makes it difficult to assess long-term drivetrain health. The MOT history confirms no immediate risks, but the vehicle’s usage profile necessitates a thorough pre-purchase inspection to address potential hidden deterioration.
