A history of clean roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with the most recent recorded data showing a pass on 18 October 2022 with no defects or advisories. While the available record suggests a stable mechanical condition, the primary concern is the significant gap in testing history between 2022 and the present date, which obscures the current state of the vehicle's roadworthiness. The recorded mileage of 22,307 miles is exceptionally low for a vehicle of this age, averaging roughly 446 miles per year over five decades. This usage pattern indicates a life spent largely in storage rather than regular operation. Mechanically, this reduces the wear on the engine and drivetrain but increases the likelihood of degradation in non-mechanical components, such as rubber seals and gaskets, which can perish when not regularly exercised. Because the vehicle has been off the road or untested for nearly four years, the inspection must focus on the effects of long-term standing. On a test drive, feel for any pedal judder or a spongy response, which may indicate binding calipers or internal corrosion in the brake system. Listen for knocks or creaks over bumps, as the suspension bushes and coil springs may have degraded due to age and inactivity regardless of the low mileage. A detailed physical examination should target the structural integrity of the chassis, specifically checking for corrosion in the sills and floor pans. Check for oil misting around the engine seals and ensure the gearbox transitions smoothly between gears without hesitation or grinding. Given the absence of recent DVSA data, these checks are critical to ensure the vehicle has not deteriorated during its period of inactivity.
