An exceptionally low usage profile defines this vehicle, which has recorded a single clean MOT pass on 01 August 2026 with no defects or advisories noted. The absence of any recorded failures or advisories throughout the documented history suggests a consistent level of roadworthiness during its most recent inspection, though the lack of historical data points limits the ability to track long-term component degradation or wear patterns. The recorded mileage of 8,470 miles over a nineteen-year lifespan equates to an average annual accumulation of approximately 446 miles. This extremely low mileage indicates the vehicle has spent significant periods stationary or has been used only for very infrequent, short-distance trips. Mechanically, while this implies minimal wear on the engine internals, drivetrain, and braking surfaces, such a pattern often necessitates a closer inspection of rubber components, seals, and fluids which can degrade due to age and lack of thermal cycling rather than mileage alone. Given the minimal distance covered, a physical inspection should focus on the integrity of perishable items that are susceptible to age-related deterioration. You should check for signs of perished or perishing rubber hoses, seals, and tyre sidewalls which may exhibit cracking despite having significant tread depth. During a test ride, pay close attention to the smoothness of the throttle response and the absence of any weeping from fork seals or engine gaskets, as long periods of inactivity can cause seals to dry out and lose their effectiveness. The lack of recorded advisories means there are no specific mechanical faults to investigate from previous tests, but the low usage warrants a thorough check of the braking system for any signs of surface corrosion on the discs or sticking calipers. Ensure that the suspension components, such as the forks and rear shock, operate without any irregular binding or stiction. Listen for any unusual noises from the chain, sprockets, or bearings that might indicate that lubrication has dried out or that components have seized slightly from extended periods of standing.
