1999 Suzuki RF900R 0.9L Petrol · V833 DHR

The Suzuki RF900R exhibits a stable and clean roadworthiness profile based on its most recent MOT history. The test conducted on 6 February 2024 resulted in a pass with no defects recorded, mirroring the outcome of the previous inspection on 14 April 2022. This lack of advisories or failures over the last two examinations suggests the machine has been maintained to a functional standard and does not currently suffer from recurring mechanical neglect or chronic component failure. The recorded mileage of 41,737 miles over a 27-year lifespan averages approximately 1,546 miles per annum, which is exceptionally low for a motorcycle of this class. The two-year gap between the 2022 and 2024 tests indicates the vehicle has seen minimal usage during this period. While low mileage often preserves the engine internals and chassis components, it also increases the risk of issues related to long-term storage, such as fuel system degradation, perished rubber seals, or internal corrosion within the fuel tank and brake lines. Potential buyers should prioritize a thorough inspection of items that deteriorate through age rather than just active use. Focus specifically on the condition of the brake hoses and seals, as stagnant fluid can lead to internal corrosion or seized calipers. Inspect the fuel system for signs of varnish or sediment buildup caused by long periods of inactivity. Given the age of the motorcycle, check the structural integrity of the frame and swingarm for any hidden corrosion, and verify that the suspension seals are not weeping oil, as rubber components often harden and fail after extended periods of standing.
