2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.3L Petrol · V8 RFX

The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistent string of clean MOT passes over the last five years. The most recent test conducted in June 2025 at 31,177 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the vehicle is being kept in a condition that avoids the common mechanical and structural failures typically seen in performance cars of this age. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a twenty-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,500 miles per annum. Between March 2021 and June 2025, the car covered only 1,435 miles, moving from 29,742 to 31,177 miles. This low usage suggests the car is likely stored under cover and used sparingly for daily commuting. While this limits wear on the engine and drivetrain components, periods of standing often introduce risks regarding the degradation of rubber-based parts and fluid chemistry that an MOT test cannot detect. A buyer must look beyond the clean record to address the specific risks of low-mileage storage. Inspection should focus on suspension bushes, bushings, and tyre sidewalls for dry rot, as these perish regardless of distance driven. Brake calipers and discs should be checked for seizing or pitting due to inactivity. Furthermore, the structural integrity of the chassis and underbody requires physical verification for hidden corrosion, as the lack of road spray can sometimes allow moisture to settle in stagnant areas.
