2015 Ford Kuga 2.0L Diesel · VF15 LKV

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the most recent inspection data. The latest MOT test, conducted in January 2026 at 100,249 miles resulted in no defects, indicating that the car is currently meeting the minimum legal safety standards. This follows a period of clean passes since late 2023, suggesting that the previous owner has maintained the vehicle to a standard that avoids immediate mechanical or structural failure during the testing process. The mileage pattern is consistent with typical usage for an eleven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 9,100 miles per year. Between December 2023 and January 2026, the car covered 16,597 miles, representing a steady usage rate of roughly 8,300 miles annually. A notable anomaly occurred in February 2024 when the vehicle failed its test at 85,830 miles but passed the very next day at 85,833 miles. This sequence suggests a minor issue that was rectified immediately rather than a chronic pattern of mechanical neglect. A physical inspection should focus on components most susceptible to wear at the 100,000-mile mark. While the MOT record shows no recent defects, the buyer should examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of perished rubber, as these often degrade at this mileage. Given the age of the Kuga, checking for corrosion on the underbody and exhaust system is essential, as the MOT only flags surface rust once it affects structural integrity. Testing the braking system to ensure no binding calipers or thinning discs are present is also advisable.
