2007 Audi A4 2.0L Diesel · VN07 EPX

The vehicle remains roadworthy but the maintenance history reveals a worsening trend in front suspension and steering component wear. While the most recent test in December 2025 at 185,553 miles passed, it carried advisories for front tyre wear and sidewall damage. This follows a progression from the 2024 test where the tester flagged steering rack inner joint play, indicating that the front-end assembly is experiencing significant mechanical fatigue. At 185,553 miles over 19 years, the car averages approximately 9,766 miles per year, which aligns with typical UK usage patterns for its age. The record shows consistent annual mileage, with roughly 6,000 to 7,000 miles covered between each December MOT test since 2021. This mileage regularity suggests the vehicle is used consistently rather than sitting for long periods, which accounts for the gradual degradation of rubber bushes and metal components seen in the recurring advisories. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the front suspension geometry, as the upper suspension arm bushes and track rod dust covers have been flagged repeatedly across four consecutive years since 2022. The 2024 report of steering rack inner joint play is a critical concern that affects handling precision and should be verified as having been professionally addressed. Additionally, the 2021 advisories regarding corroded rear coil springs and pitted brake discs suggest the vehicle is prone to environmental corrosion, necessitating a close look at the underbody for structural rust.
