2007 Volkswagen Polo 1.4L Petrol · VO57 AHD

The 2007 Volkswagen Polo presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent DVSA test on 9 October 2025 at 130,622 miles returning a clean pass with no defects recorded. Across the five available annual tests from May 2021 to October 2025, the vehicle cleared every examination without a single advisory or failure, indicating consistent statutory upkeep rather than deferred rectification. The mileage pattern aligns with typical use for a nineteen-year-old car. The record shows 93,064 miles in May 2021, rising to 103,450 by June 2022, 112,805 in June 2023, 120,645 in July 2024, and 130,622 in October 2025. This equates to roughly 9,000 miles per year across the documented span, slightly above the lifetime average of 6,875 but steady and linear with no abrupt gaps or dormant periods suggesting long-term standing. The clean sheet across all entries means the data is sparse on faults yet speaks to disciplined MoT compliance by prior keepers. A buyer should still commission an independent physical inspection despite the unblemished history. The absence of advisories does not preclude age-related degradation now outside the test window, particularly worn suspension bushes, fatigued coil springs, and corroding brake discs on a vehicle of this mileage and era. Structural integrity around sills and subframes warrants close checking for hidden rust, as the tester logged none but visual pass criteria tighten with condition. Given the Polo's clean record and moderate annual use, mechanical risk appears low for its age, though pre-purchase scrutiny of consumables and chassis corrosion remains prudent before commitment.
