2012 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Petrol · VO62 VMR

The vehicle remains roadworthy, though the maintenance trend shows a shift towards reactive repairs rather than proactive attention. The most recent test in November 2025 at 74,190 miles identified two defects: a central front oil leak and a minor rear exhaust leak between the pipe and the back box. These issues followed a clean record in October 2024, suggesting that the vehicle is beginning to show signs of age-related degradation despite its relatively low annual mileage. At fourteen years old, the total recorded mileage of 74,190 miles represents an average usage of approximately 5,300 miles per year. This low usage is consistent across the records, with only 5,068 miles driven between November 2023 and November 2025. However, low mileage often correlates with the dry rotting of rubber-based components. The history confirms this trend through a recurring pattern of tyre perishing and cracking noted across four consecutive annual tests between 2021 and 2023. A buyer must inspect the engine bay for the severity of the central front oil leak, as this has been a persistent issue since at least 2023 and could indicate a failing gasket or oil filter housing. The exhaust system requires close attention to ensure the minor leak does not progress into structural corrosion of the mounting brackets. Given the history of sidewall damage and uneven wear, a physical check of the suspension bushes and deep-seated cracks is essential, as the previous owners appear to have neglected tyre replacement until they reached critical limits.
