2000 Audi A3 1.8L Petrol · W132 CCY

The 2000 Audi A3 presents a currently roadworthy status with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent MOT test on 16 May 2025 at 176,703 miles returning a pass with no defects recorded. Prior tests in May 2024 and May 2023 also passed cleanly at 176,509 and 176,361 miles respectively, showing no advisories or worsening faults across the recent cycle. The mileage pattern reveals exceptionally low annual use for a 26-year-old vehicle. Between the April 2021 test at 176,354 miles and the May 2025 test at 176,703 miles, the car covered just 349 miles over four years. A failed test on 27 January 2021 at 176,328 miles, with no defects listed, was followed by a pass on 7 April 2021 at 176,354 miles, indicating a likely administrative or retest anomaly rather than mechanical fault. The sparse, clean record points to long periods of storage rather than active wear. A buyer should still inspect structural corrosion on sills, subframes, and suspension mounting points, as a quarter-century Audi of this era commonly suffers unseen rust despite passing emissions and brake checks. The near-static mileage means suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers may have degraded through age and standing rather than use. Verify the condition of tyres, brake discs, and flexible hoses for perishing, and confirm the 2021 failure cause with DVSA paperwork before purchase. The clean advisory history offers no red flags, but the car's dormancy demands a physical inspection of mechanical elasticity and fluid integrity.
