2016 BMW X1 2.0L Diesel · W4 KSJ

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistently clean MOT history. The most recent test conducted on 14 March 2026 at 113,132 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This continues a stable trend spanning the last three years, suggesting that the vehicle is maintained to a high standard and does not suffer from developing mechanical or structural failures that typically trigger MOT warning markers. The mileage accumulation is consistent with typical usage for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 11,300 miles per year. Between August 2023 at 59,399 miles and March 2026 at 113,132 miles, the car covered over 53,000 miles, indicating steady and regular use. The gap of 16,555 miles between the August 2024 and March 2025 tests shows the vehicle remains driven frequently, which often helps prevent the corrosion and seal degradation associated with long periods of standing stationary. While the digital record shows no recurring advisories, a buyer should still perform a physical inspection of high-wear components relevant to the 113,000-mile mark. Focus on the suspension bushes and control arms for signs of rubber fatigue, as these often reach the end of their life at this mileage. Inspect the brake discs for uneven wear or signs of caliper sticking, despite the MOT tester not flagging these issues this year. Given the clean history, the primary focus should be on verifying the tread depth and manufacture age of the tyres to ensure they match the overall maintenance standard of the car.
