2016 Vauxhall Zafira 1.4L Petrol · WG66 ACY

The Vauxhall Zafira in question demonstrates a consistent roadworthiness record, with every MOT test since 2021 passing without any defects or advisories recorded. The most recent inspection on 2025-11-20, at 60,476 miles, confirms the vehicle remains compliant with current UK standards for brakes, emissions, suspension, and structural integrity. There is no evidence of recurring mechanical failures or advisory notes, suggesting the vehicle has been maintained at a baseline level to meet MOT requirements. However, the absence of defects does not preclude underlying issues that might not have been detected during a static MOT test, such as intermittent suspension wear or hidden corrosion. The mileage progression indicates a steady usage pattern, averaging around 6,000 miles annually—a rate typical for a vehicle of this age. There are no significant gaps or abrupt jumps in mileage between tests, with increments of roughly 2,500 to 4,500 miles per year. For example, the jump from 44,492 miles in November 2021 to 49,396 miles in November 2022 reflects a moderate increase, while the most recent test at 60,476 miles shows consistent usage without excessive wear. This pattern suggests the vehicle has not been left unused for prolonged periods, which could otherwise accelerate deterioration of fluids, seals, and suspension components. Given the clean MOT history, a prospective buyer should prioritise a thorough inspection of high-wear items that are not routinely checked during an MOT. Focus on the suspension system—particularly the condition of coil springs, bushes, and shock absorbers—for signs of uneven wear or corrosion, as these are critical for ride quality and handling. The brake system, while passing MOT standards, should be examined for uneven pad thickness, warped discs, or binding calipers, especially if the vehicle has been driven at higher speeds or in heavy traffic. Additionally, inspect the underbody for corrosion, particularly around wheel arches, sills, and the exhaust system, as rust can compromise structural integrity over time. Finally, verify the integrity of the exhaust system for leaks or excessive noise, as these are often overlooked until they become more pronounced.
