2011 Honda CR-V 2.2L Diesel · WJ61 ADV

This Honda CR-V has demonstrated a stable roadworthiness record over the past four MOT cycles, with no defects or advisories recorded in any of the tests from December 2022 to January 2026. The most recent test on 27 January 2026—just six months ago—confirmed the vehicle passed without issue, though the duplicate entry of a pass and fail at identical mileage suggests a minor administrative anomaly rather than a mechanical concern. There is no evidence of recurring faults, and the absence of advisories implies that any minor wear items (such as wiper blades or bulbs) were addressed promptly. However, the vehicle’s age and mileage necessitate a thorough inspection of high-wear components, particularly since the last test. The mileage progression of 164,634 miles today, with the vehicle now 15 years old, reflects a consistent average of approximately 11,000 miles per year—a rate typical for its class. There are no significant gaps in the MOT history, with tests conducted annually or near-annually, indicating regular compliance with legal requirements. The most notable mileage jump occurred between December 2022 (157,983 miles) and January 2024 (160,613 miles), a 2,630-mile increase over 18 months, which suggests either seasonal usage patterns or a period of heavier driving. No extended periods of inactivity are evident, which could have allowed for corrosion or suspension degradation. Given the lack of recorded defects, a buyer should prioritise an in-person inspection of the suspension system, particularly the rear subframe mounts and bushings, which are common failure points in CR-Vs of this age. The brake system—including rear caliper binding, disc thickness, and pad wear—should be scrutinised, as binding calipers or uneven wear could indicate previous neglect despite the clean MOT history. Structural integrity, especially around wheel arches and sills, warrants close examination for corrosion, as does the exhaust system for leaks or cracked heat shields. The absence of advisories does not guarantee these areas are flawless, and visual inspection combined with a test drive will reveal any hidden issues.
