2014 Vauxhall Astra Elite 1.6L Petrol · WJZ 1012

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent inspection conducted in January 2026 at 125,454 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This streak of consecutive clean passes across the last five annual tests suggests that the previous owners have maintained the essential safety and environmental standards of the Astra without allowing minor mechanical or structural issues to escalate. The mileage pattern remains consistent with typical usage for a twelve-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 10,400 miles per annum. Between January 2022 at 92,639 miles and January 2026 at 125,454 miles, the car covered over 32,000 miles, indicating steady and regular use. The short interval between the December 2024 and January 2026 tests shows the owner was proactive in keeping the testing record up to date, which helps prevent the degradation of rubber components often associated with long periods of inactivity. While the MOT record shows no history of recurring failures, a physical inspection should focus on high-wear areas common to this model at this mileage. A buyer should check the suspension bushes for tearing and inspect the coil springs for signs of corrosion, as these often degrade after 100,000 miles. Given the age, verifying the brake system for any binding calipers and checking the thickness of the discs is necessary to ensure the mechanical condition is as sound as the digital record suggests.
