2017 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.6L Diesel · WM66 GMO

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta passed its most recent MOT on 3 December 2025 at 47,444 miles, with no defects or advisories recorded. Across the five tests available from late 2022 through to late 2025, the vehicle has returned a clean pass each time, indicating a stable and consistently passable roadworthiness record under DVSA inspection criteria. No advisory items have been logged, meaning no component was identified as bordering on failure or showing wear that required monitoring at the time of test. The recorded mileage is notably low for the vehicle's age. Covering approximately 47,444 miles over nine years equates to roughly 5,270 miles annually, well below typical usage patterns. The earliest recorded test in September 2022 sits at lower mileage than the December 2022 entry just three months later, after which progression to the December 2025 test reflects modest, gradual accumulation. This pattern is consistent with low annual use rather than periods of rapid accumulation. Low-mileage vehicles often present distinct mechanical considerations, including drying and perishing of rubber components such as suspension bushes, brake seals, and coolant hoses through underuse rather than wear. Any prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on the areas the MOT does not directly assess or which deteriorate with age regardless of mileage. Particular attention should be given to the condition of the timing belt or chain service interval, as the Giulietta is chain-driven but ancillary belts have replacement schedules. Brake discs and calipers, particularly the rear calipers known to seize on this model, should be checked for binding even though no brake-related advisories appear in this record. Coolant and brake fluid should be tested for degradation, and a thorough check for corrosion around wheel arches, sills, and suspension arms is warranted, given the vehicle's nine-year exposure to road conditions. Finally, the tyres should be inspected for age-related cracking, as rubber compounds deteriorate regardless of tread depth when vehicles see limited use.
