2012 Vauxhall Astra 2.0L Diesel · WN62 AAU

The vehicle demonstrates a stable roadworthiness profile, with no defects recorded in its last five consecutive MOT tests, the most recent of which was conducted on 2025-10-03 at 111,853 miles. All tests from 2021 to 2025 showed full compliance, indicating consistent maintenance and no emerging mechanical or structural issues. The absence of advisories or failures over this period suggests the car has been well-kept, with no signs of progressive deterioration in critical systems such as brakes, suspension, or emissions. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 14-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,990 miles annually. Each MOT entry reflects a steady increase in mileage, with no significant gaps or abrupt spikes that might indicate irregular use or prolonged inactivity. The 2021 test at 92,507 miles to the 2025 test at 111,853 miles shows a consistent 3,000–4,000-mile annual increment, suggesting regular operation rather than infrequent or erratic driving. This pattern reduces concerns about component degradation from prolonged standing or underuse. A buyer should inspect the suspension system for wear in bushes and coil springs, as these components often degrade with age. The brake discs and calipers should be checked for corrosion or binding, particularly given the vehicle’s age. While no exhaust-related issues were flagged, a visual inspection of the exhaust system for leaks or rust is advisable. The bodyshell’s structural integrity remains unverified by the MOT records, so a thorough check for rust in common areas—such as sills, door bottoms, and wheel arches—is recommended to confirm the absence of hidden corrosion.
