2013 Ford Mondeo 2.0L Diesel · WOI 5000

The 2013 Ford Mondeo, with 128,427 miles, is currently in a generally roadworthy condition, as evidenced by its most recent MOT pass on 2026-06-05. The maintenance trend appears to be stable, with no significant defects recorded in the previous four tests. However, the latest test did flag some concerns: rear suspension components and the front sub-frame were noted to be corroded but not seriously weakened, and the brake discs were worn, pitted, or scored, though not to a critical extent. These issues suggest that while the vehicle is still safe to drive, it may require attention to these areas in the near future. The mileage of 128,427 over 13 years equates to an average of about 9,879 miles per year, which is typical for a vehicle of this age. The MOT history shows a consistent increase in mileage, with no notable gaps or rapid accumulation. This steady usage pattern indicates that the vehicle has been driven regularly, which can be beneficial for maintaining the mechanical systems. The lack of significant defects in the past four MOTs also suggests that the vehicle has been well-maintained, although the recent corrosion and wear issues should be monitored. A potential buyer should pay particular attention to the rear suspension and front sub-frame, given the corrosion noted in the most recent MOT. While the corrosion is not yet serious, it could indicate a need for more thorough inspection and possibly preventative maintenance to avoid future structural issues. Additionally, the brake discs, which are showing signs of wear, pitting, and scoring, should be inspected for any further deterioration. It would be prudent to have a professional mechanic assess these components to ensure they do not pose a risk and to determine if any immediate action is required.
