2016 Toyota RAV4 2.5L Hybrid electric (clean) · WU66 EOL

The vehicle remains roadworthy but the maintenance history shows a worsening trend regarding neglected consumable component replacement. While the most recent test on 1 June 2026 at 60,541 miles passed, the tester flagged all four tyres for perishing, cracking, and wear reaching the legal limit. This follows a consistent pattern seen in 2023 and 2025 where the rear tyres were repeatedly noted as worn, indicating that the previous owner only addresses tyre issues when they approach failure rather than performing proactive maintenance. The mileage profile is consistent with a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 6,000 miles per year. Between the July 2022 test at 40,072 miles and the June 2026 test at 60,541 miles, the car covered 20,469 miles, showing a steady and low usage pattern. This low mileage suggests less mechanical strain on the drivetrain, but it explains the degradation of rubber-based components, as evidenced by the cracking and perishing noted on the tyres despite the relatively low total distance driven. A buyer must conduct a thorough inspection of the suspension system, specifically focusing on the arm arm bushes which were flagged in the June 2023 test at 45,047 miles. Although these did not cause a failure at that time, wear in suspension bushings often progresses over time on low-mileage vehicles. Given the recurring advisories regarding tyre condition, the buyer should also verify the age and tread depth of the current tyres, as the record suggests a history of running these components until the absolute limit of their service life.
