2011 Ford Focus 1.6L Petrol · WV61 ECF

The vehicle presents an exceptionally clean MOT history, having secured five consecutive passes without a single recorded defect or advisory since May 2022. This trajectory indicates a stable and well-maintained mechanical state, suggesting that the previous keeper has adhered to a proactive servicing schedule rather than relying on reactive repairs. The most recent test conducted on 21 February 2026 at 123,425 miles confirms the car remains in a roadworthy condition with no immediate structural or safety-critical failures. The recorded mileage of 123,425 over a 15-year lifespan equates to a consistent annual average of approximately 8,200 miles. The data shows a steady, predictable accumulation of use, with no evidence of long-term storage or excessive high-mileage strain. The interval between the 2022 and 2023 tests reflects a standard testing cadence, and the subsequent annual inspections have been performed with regularity. This consistency is a positive indicator that the drivetrain and chassis have not been subjected to prolonged periods of inactivity, which can often lead to seized components or perished rubber seals. While the MOT record is pristine, a prospective buyer should still conduct a thorough physical inspection of high-wear components that fall outside the scope of a basic test. Focus your assessment on the condition of the suspension bushes and coil springs, as these parts often show signs of fatigue at this mileage even if they have not yet reached the threshold for an MOT failure. Check the brake discs for surface corrosion or inner-face scoring that might not be visible during a cursory glance. Given the age of the vehicle, verify the integrity of the exhaust system and check the underside for any signs of surface corrosion that could develop into structural concerns in the coming years.
