2017 Lexus CT 1.8L Hybrid electric (clean) · WV67 ADX

The Lexus CT presents a clean and stable MOT history, with no defects recorded across its five most recent tests—most recently on 14 October 2025 at 107,520 miles. This consistency suggests the vehicle has been well-maintained under regular inspection, with no signs of recurring mechanical failures or structural concerns. The absence of advisories or minor faults in any of the tests further reinforces that the car has met all DVSA roadworthiness standards without major interventions. Given the 2025 tests occurred just under a year apart, the owner has clearly adhered to the annual MOT requirement, and the lack of defects implies either proactive servicing or simply a robust build quality that has resisted common wear issues. The mileage accumulation aligns closely with typical usage for a vehicle of this age, averaging around 11,947 miles per year—a figure that suggests neither excessive use nor prolonged neglect. The most recent 11,561-mile gap between tests (August 2025 to October 2025) is slightly below the annual average, but this could reflect seasonal variations or a brief period of reduced use. Earlier intervals, such as the 12,132 miles covered between September 2024 and August 2025, indicate steady but not aggressive driving. There are no red flags in the mileage pattern to suggest abuse or long-term disuse, though the sparse data points mean any hidden issues beyond the MOT scope would require closer scrutiny. For a prospective buyer, the primary focus should lie on components not routinely checked during MOTs, such as the suspension’s coil springs and bushes, which may show early fatigue despite the clean test history. While the brakes have not been flagged, a manual inspection should verify brake fluid condition and check for uneven wear or binding calipers, as these can develop without MOT detection. The absence of corrosion advisories in the records is positive, but a thorough examination of the undercarriage, wheel arches, and sill areas is advisable to rule out hidden rust or structural weakening. Given the Lexus’s reputation for reliability, the clean MOTs suggest the car has been cared for, but a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic would be prudent to confirm no deferred maintenance exists beyond what the DVSA tests cover.
