2017 Toyota Prius 1.8L Hybrid electric (clean) · WV67 XKW

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status following its most recent MOT test on 17 February 2026 at 79,097 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, although the record shows a pattern of immediate failures followed by passes on the same day. In both August 2025 and February 2026, the tester identified initial defects, which suggests that minor, consumable-related issues were rectified quickly prior to re-test without indicating deep mechanical or structural neglect. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for a nine-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,800 miles per year. Between February 2025 at 69,532 miles and February 2026 at 79,097 miles, the car covered 9,565 miles in a twelve-month period. This indicates regular use which is generally beneficial for hybrid battery health and prevents components from seizing due to long periods of inactivity. The intervals between tests are standard, suggesting the owner adheres to the annual testing requirement. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on the specific items that caused the failures in August 2025 and 2026. While the record provided does not list the specific defects, the recurring nature of these failures often points to minor items such as light bulbs, wiper blades, or slight tyre tread irregularities. Given the age and mileage of this Prius, a close check of the suspension bushes and the condition of the brake calipers is still advisable, as these are common points of wear for this model at this mileage interval.
