2024 Aprilia RS 660 35kW Petrol · X2 LYA

This Aprilia RS 660 has no documented MOT history, rendering any assessment of roadworthiness or maintenance trends impossible. Without prior test records, there is no baseline to determine whether the vehicle has been subject to recurring faults, structural neglect, or consistent upkeep. The absence of MOT data also means critical components—such as suspension geometry, brake caliper binding, or exhaust emissions compliance—cannot be evaluated for wear patterns or failure risks. Buyers must treat this as a vehicle with an entirely unknown service and inspection history, necessitating a thorough pre-purchase inspection before committing. Mileage data is similarly unreported, leaving no way to correlate usage with the vehicle’s age or service intervals. A 2024 model with no MOTs suggests either a very low-mileage example (unlikely for a sportbike) or a vehicle that has never undergone statutory testing. If the bike has been ridden extensively, the lack of records implies either deliberate avoidance of legal requirements or, more critically, that the owner may not have addressed mandatory safety checks. Without mileage figures, even basic wear indicators—such as tyre degradation or chain stretch—cannot be inferred from the record alone. Given the complete absence of MOT data, a buyer’s priority inspection should focus on high-risk areas where neglect is most likely to manifest. The suspension (coil springs, bushes, and linkages) should be checked for uneven wear or corrosion, as these components degrade rapidly in high-performance bikes. Brake systems—particularly calipers, pads, and discs—must be inspected for uneven wear or binding, which could indicate past neglect or improper maintenance. The exhaust system should be examined for leaks or structural weakness, as emissions compliance is a common MOT failure point. Additionally, the frame and fuel tank should be scrutinised for corrosion, especially in areas prone to moisture accumulation, given the bike’s age and lack of documented care. Tyre condition, while not MOT-related, must be verified as a safety-critical item.
