2020 Honda NC 750 SD-K 0.7L Petrol · YE20 ZXF

This Honda NC750 SD-K has maintained a consistent MOT pass status across all three recorded tests, with no defects or advisories noted in the most recent examination on 2025-11-18 at just 1,703 miles. The absence of any recurring issues or warnings suggests the vehicle has been kept in a stable condition, though the lack of advisories does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in areas not routinely inspected under MOT standards, such as suspension bushes or drivetrain components. The most recent test was conducted just six months ago, which is well within the DVSA’s recommended interval for regular checks, though the low mileage means some components may have aged passively rather than through use. The recorded mileage of 1,703 miles over nearly six years—an average of around 284 miles annually—indicates extremely light usage, which could imply prolonged storage or minimal riding. The gaps between tests are irregular: the 2024 test occurred at 1,512 miles, followed by a 17-month hiatus before the 2025 retest, and similarly, the 2023 test at 1,360 miles was followed by a 14-month gap. While this pattern avoids accelerated wear, it also raises questions about whether the vehicle was stored properly, as prolonged inactivity can lead to issues like flat spots on tyres, degraded fuel systems, or seized components. The low mileage does not negate the need for a thorough inspection of fluid levels, battery health, and potential corrosion from standing water. Given the sparse MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an in-person inspection of components not routinely tested, such as the suspension system—particularly the rear swingarm pivots and steering head bearings, which are prone to wear in low-mileage motorcycles stored for extended periods. The brakes, while not flagged in MOTs, should be checked for uneven pad wear or glazing, as binding calipers or warped discs can develop without significant mileage. Tyre condition is critical; despite no MOT failures, the tread depth should be verified, and the sidewalls inspected for cracks or embedded debris from storage. Finally, the electrical system—including the battery, wiring harnesses, and switches—demands scrutiny, as prolonged disuse can lead to corrosion or failed components. The absence of advisories in the MOT record does not guarantee these areas are sound.
