The most recent MOT on 2026-01-08 recorded two key issues: worn suspension bushings on both front lower arms and perishing rear tyres. The suspension defects were noted as “worn but not resulting in excessive movement,” suggesting they are currently within acceptable limits but require monitoring. The rear tyres showed signs of cracking, which could indicate age-related degradation rather than immediate safety risks. No major safety-critical faults were recorded in this test. Previous MOTs reveal a recurring pattern of tyre-related issues, including wear close to legal limits, cracking, and perishing. These problems were consistently reported from 2023 onward, with the 2025 MOT highlighting multiple tyres in poor condition. Suspension bushings also appeared in 2023 and 2026, indicating a persistent but non-urgent mechanical concern. Brake components were flagged in 2023, but no similar issues were noted in later tests, suggesting potential repairs or replacements. The trend of defects appears stable rather than worsening. While tyre and suspension issues recur, they are not escalating in severity.
