2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2.1L Diesel · YH15 WMP

The vehicle presents a technically roadworthy profile with a stable maintenance trend despite its high mileage. While the MOT initially failed on 24 July 2025 at 190,665 miles, it passed the re-test just four days later on 28 July with no defects recorded. This sequence suggests a minor administrative or a specific component failure that was immediately rectified rather than a chronic mechanical decline. Since the 2022 test, the vehicle has consistently maintained clean passes without recorded advisories. The mileage data reflects heavy commercial use, averaging approximately 17,333 miles per year over its eleven-year life. Between July 2023 and July 2025, the vehicle covered 16,807 miles, showing a steady rate of usage that aligns with the annual-year intervals. This consistent accumulation indicates the van was likely used for regular long-distance transit, which typically places significant stress on the drivetrain and suspension components. The lack of long gaps between tests and the high mileage suggests the previous owners kept the vehicle in active service and testing schedule. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on high-wear areas common to high-mileage Sprinters. Given the 190,665-mile mark, close attention to the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers is necessary as these components often fatigue under heavy loads. The clean MOT history does not flag structural corrosion, but a manual check of the chassis rails and mounting points remains vital to ensure no hidden rust has developed. Inspect the brake system for binding calipers or disc thickness to ensure the high-mileage usage has not resulted in premature wear of the friction materials.
