2012 Iveco Daily 2.3L Diesel · YJ12 OLP

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a history of clean passes over the last several years. The most recent inspection conducted on 28 February 2024 at 97,402 miles resulted in a pass with no recorded defects, despite an initial failure on the same day. This immediate rectification suggests a minor or easily corrected item that was addressed prior to the retest, as no subsequent advisories or failures have indicated a developing mechanical or structural trend. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent for a vehicle of this age and type, averaging approximately 7,000 miles per year. Between January 2021 and January 2022, the vehicle covered 5,581 miles, followed by a larger gap of 5,968 miles between early 2022 and early 2023. This steady usage indicates regular operational cycles rather than long periods of stagnation, which is often beneficial for maintaining seals and brake components. The 8,019 miles recorded between the last two tests align with this predictable annual wear rate. Given the lack of recurring mechanical advisories in the digital record, a physical inspection should focus on the structural integrity of the chassis and load-bearing components. While the MOT history is clean, the age of the Iveco Daily necessitates a close examination of the frame and mounting points for deep-seated corrosion that may not yet trigger a failure. You should also verify the condition of the suspension bushes, the state of the brake lines for perish, and the integrity of the rear leaf springs, as these are common points of fatigue on commercial vehicles regardless of low mileage.
