2016 Fiat Auto Trail 2.3L Diesel · YJ65 ABV

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status with a stable maintenance trend despite intermittent failures. The most recent test on 12 June 2025 at 30,111 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded, following a failure just two days prior. This suggests the owner is proactive in rectifying identified issues immediately to ensure compliance. The overall history shows no evidence of recurring mechanical failures or escalating structural corrosion over the last three years. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,011 miles per year. Between July 2023 and June 2025, the car covered only 5,280 miles, moving from 24,831 to 30,111. While this low usage typically indicates less wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it increases the risk of age-related degradation in rubber-based parts. The consistent intervals between tests suggest the vehicle is used for short-distance local trips rather than high-mile motorway commuting. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components affected by long periods of inactivity or low mileage. Check the brake discs for surface rust or pitting, as brake calipers can seize when not used frequently. Examine the suspension bushes and tyre sidewalls for cracking, as these materials perish over time regardless of distance driven. Since the MOT record shows no specific mechanical faults, the primary concern remains the condition of fluids and the integrity of rubber hoses which may absorb moisture or become corrosive during long stationary periods.
