2015 Audi A6 3.0L Diesel · YJ65 MRB

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, but the most recent inspection indicates a shift from clean passes to emerging mechanical wear. While the car maintained three consecutive clean records between 2023 and 2025, the February 2026 test at 120,446 miles flagged offside play in the steering rack inner joints and a nail in the nearside front tyre. This suggests that components components are now reaching the end of their service life after a period of stable operation. The mileage progression is consistent with a typical long-distance usage profile, averaging approximately 11,000 miles per annum. Between February 2022 and February 2023, the vehicle covered 13,679 miles, while the interval between January 2025 and February 2026 saw 8,022 miles recorded. This steady accumulation suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of standing, which generally helps prevent the degradation of rubber seals and gaskets often seen in stationary low-mileage Audis. A prospective buyer must prioritize a physical inspection of the steering system to assess the severity of the offside inner joint play. Excessive play here can lead to uneven tyre wear and degraded steering precision. The previous report of low coolant in 2022 also warrants a thorough check of the cooling system for signs of leaks at the water pump, radiator housing, or coolant hoses. Given the age and mileage of the A6, suspension bushings and bushings should also be examined for cracking or tearing, as these are common points of failure on this platform once they exceed six figures.
