2015 Hyundai Tucson 1.7L Diesel · YP65 JVW

The 2015 Hyundai Tucson presents a stable maintenance trend, culminating in a clean pass on 25 June 2025 at 88,993 miles with zero defects. Although the most recent test occurred just over a year ago, the vehicle demonstrates consistent roadworthiness, having required no remedial work at its last inspection. While the MOT record shows two historical failures, both occurred on the same day as subsequent passes, indicating immediate rectification of minor issues rather than chronic mechanical decline. At eleven years old with 88,993 recorded miles, the Tucson averages roughly 8,090 miles annually, a typical figure for its age. The mileage accumulation appears steady rather than erratic. Between the January 2024 test at 71,103 miles and the January 2025 test at 83,116 miles, the vehicle covered approximately 12,000 miles over twelve months. The subsequent five months saw a further 5,877 miles added before the June 2025 pass. No significant gaps or sudden spikes in usage suggest prolonged standing or excessive short-journey wear. The MOT record lacks recurring mechanical or structural advisories, meaning no specific defect pattern demands immediate attention. However, the historical failures on 27 January 2024 and 25 January 2025—both recorded without specific defects before passing shortly after—warrant a physical inspection of the braking system and suspension components. A buyer should check for uneven brake disc wear, binding calipers, and degraded suspension bushes, as these commonly cause test-day failures that are quickly remedied. Inspecting the undercarriage for corrosion and verifying the condition of the exhaust emissions will confirm the vehicle's long-term structural integrity.
