Plastic coolant "crossover" pipes can crack, leading to sudden loss of coolant and potential engine overheating.

The Eaton TVS2300 supercharger on V8 models develops bearing wear in the front nose cone assembly from high-RPM operation and heat cycling. A distinctive whine worsens progressively and can eventually lead to rotor contact if bearings fail completely, requiring a full supercharger rebuild.

Beyond the water pump, the network of plastic coolant hoses and pipes throughout the engine bay become brittle from heat cycling. The Y-pipe and throttle cooling pipe are hidden beneath the supercharger and fail without warning. Most specialists recommend replacing all plastic coolant pipes in one job.

The valves in the exhaust system that create the signature "pop and crackle" can seize in the open or closed position.

The rear differential develops oil leaks from failed pinion seals, which can lead to wear of the diff pinion due to insufficient lubrication. If left untreated for too long, a whining noise develops and a full differential replacement may be required.
