1990 BMW 3 Series 1.8L Petrol · G120 OET

The 1990 BMW 3 Series presents a stable maintenance trend, as evidenced by the most recent MOT test on 2025-05-15 at 82,126 miles, which passed with no defects recorded. This outcome aligns with the previous tests, all of which also passed without any noted defects. The lack of any recorded issues across these tests suggests that the vehicle has been well-maintained. The recorded mileage of 82,126 miles over 36 years translates to approximately 2,281 miles per year, which is relatively low for a vehicle of its age. A review of the mileage progression reveals a steady but slow accumulation: from 81,326 miles on 2019-09-02 to 82,126 miles on 2025-05-15, an increase of 800 miles over nearly six years. This pattern indicates the vehicle has likely seen light use. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should still conduct a thorough inspection, focusing on areas prone to wear and potential hidden damage. Although the MOT records are clean, the vehicle's age and low mileage suggest that certain components may have been subject to deterioration due to age rather than use. Particular attention should be paid to the condition of suspension components, such as coil springs and bushes, as well as the brake system, including discs and pads. Additionally, inspecting for any signs of structural corrosion or rust, especially in areas prone to moisture retention, would be prudent. The absence of any advisories or defects in the MOT history is a positive indicator, but it does not negate the need for a comprehensive inspection. A buyer should also consider the vehicle's age and the potential for worn or deteriorated components that may not be immediately apparent, such as exhaust system parts, steering components, and electrical systems. A thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic would provide a more detailed assessment of the vehicle's current condition and potential for future reliability.
