2015 Fiat Ducato 2.3L Diesel · GN15 AZW

This 2015 Fiat Ducato, with its most recent MOT passed on 2021-11-22 —nearly four years ago—now operates outside the legal requirement for a test. While the vehicle has consistently passed every MOT since 2018 without any defects or advisories, the extended period since the last inspection introduces uncertainty. The absence of recurring issues in the record suggests no obvious mechanical trends, but the lack of recent testing means critical components—such as suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake calipers—have not been professionally verified for wear or failure. The tester’s silence on advisories also implies no hidden concerns were flagged in prior tests, but this does not guarantee current compliance with modern emissions or safety standards. The mileage progression reveals a steady accumulation of approximately 7,934 miles per year , which aligns with typical usage for a vehicle of this age. There are no abrupt jumps or prolonged periods of inactivity between tests, indicating consistent operation rather than neglect or prolonged storage. The most significant gap is between the 2021 and 2020 tests, where the Ducato covered 12,249 miles —a moderate increase but not alarming. The earlier intervals (2019–2018: 25,696 miles ) suggest the vehicle may have seen heavier use during that period, though this does not necessarily correlate to accelerated wear without further inspection. Given the lack of MOT advisories or defects, the primary focus for an in-person inspection should centre on suspension integrity , particularly the condition of rear suspension bushes and coil springs, which are prone to fatigue at this mileage. The brakes, though never failed in MOTs, should be checked for uneven wear, binding calipers, or corrosion on the discs and pads—especially if the vehicle has been exposed to wet or salted roads. Structural corrosion, particularly around wheel arches, sills, and the subframe, warrants scrutiny, as this is a common failure point in older commercial vans. Finally, the exhaust system should be examined for leaks or excessive rust, as emissions compliance could become an issue if the catalytic converter or oxygen sensors are degraded. The absence of MOT advisories does not preclude these areas from requiring attention.
