The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status, evidenced by consistent clean passes across its recorded history. The most recent test on 17 March 2023 at 10,115 miles resulted in no recorded defects, mirroring the outcomes of the previous four annual inspections. This consistency suggests the motorcycle has been maintained to a standard that meets minimum regulatory requirements without mechanical or structural failures being flagged by the tester. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 35-year-old machine, averaging approximately 289 miles per year. Data shows a significant gap in usage between June 2020 and April 2022, where only 59 miles were covered over nearly two years. However, the vehicle saw a more regular interval between April 2022 and March 2023, covering an additional 290 miles. While this low mileage reduces mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine components, the long periods of standing often lead to the degradation of rubber-based parts and oxidation of fluids. A buyer must prioritize a physical inspection of components that suffer through age rather than just distance. The low mileage necessitates a close check of tyres, fuel lines, and brake hoses for cracking or perish rot. Because the MOT record shows no structural issues, the buyer should still verify the frame for surface corrosion or hidden rust, as stationary vehicles can develop moisture-trap areas. Additionally, the brake calipers should be tested for seized pistons or pitted discs, which are common issues on vehicles that sit for extended periods.
