1992 Fiat Hymer Motorhome 2.5L Diesel · J234 JCA

The Fiat Hymer motorhome presents a stable and clean roadworthiness profile. The most recent test on 6 November 2025 at 183,011 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken five-year sequence of passes with no advisories or failures noted in the DVLA data. Annual mileage remains low for a 34-year-old vehicle. The record shows 144,262 miles in October 2021, rising to 146,195 by November 2022, then 163,386 in November 2023, 174,662 in November 2024, and 183,011 in November 2025. That equates to roughly 8,500 miles per year across the last four years, below the lifetime average of 5,383, suggesting gentle touring use rather than continuous habitation. No gaps exist between tests; the owner kept the certificate current each autumn. The absence of flagged items means the tester recorded no worn suspension bushes, corroded subframes, binding calipers, or exhaust issues at any stage. For a 1992 coachbuilt motorhome, however, MOT cleanliness does not confirm structural soundness. A buyer should physically inspect chassis rails, outriggers, and floor pans for rust, as the test may not lift body panels. Check tyre sidewall age and brake disc condition despite no advisories. Given the clean history, previous keepers likely maintained the vehicle to a basic pass standard without neglect. Verify service records and assess damp in habitation areas, since MOTs exclude interior water ingress. The low mileage implies long stationary periods, raising risk of seized brake components or perished rubber not captured in the data.
