2004 Iveco Daily 35S12 SWB 2.3L Diesel · NX54 AOP

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the most recent MOT history. The last test conducted on 8 April 2022 at 183,284 miles returned a pass with no recorded defects, indicating that the mechanical and structural components met the minimum standards at that time. However, because four years have elapsed since this official inspection, the current state of the vehicle is unknown and requires an immediate fresh test to identify any degradation or mechanical failure that has occurred during this extended period of inactivity. The mileage pattern is consistent with a light-use commercial vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 8,300 miles per year. There is a significant gap in the records between September 2014 and March 2018, during which the vehicle covered only 10,000 miles. The usage accelerated later between 2019 and 2022, with nearly 6,000 miles recorded in just three years. This fluctuation in usage often suggests long periods of standing, which can lead to dry rot in rubber components, seized seals, or brake caliper corrosion despite the relatively low total odometer reading. A buyer must prioritize a thorough physical inspection of the chassis and structural integrity, as older Iveco Daily models are prone to significant corrosion in the frame members and mounting points. The failure in August 2019 at 182,422 miles suggests a specific defect existed that was rectified quickly, but the subsequent clean records do not guarantee the condition of suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake lines under aged wear. Given the four-year lapse since the last MOT, checking for fluid leaks and the perished perished state of the tyres is critical to ensure the vehicle remains safe for immediate use.
