2014 DAF Trucks CF 400 FT 10.8L Diesel · PJ64 AHO

The 2014 DAF CF 400 FT presents a stable roadworthiness trend. The most recent test on 1 July 2025 at 526,427 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the four prior tests from November 2020 through May 2024 also passed clean. No advisories or failures appear anywhere in the DVSA history, so the maintenance record shows consistent compliance rather than a worsening or resolving fault pattern. Mileage sits at 526,427 against a 12-year life, averaging roughly 43,900 miles per year. The records show steady accumulation: 455,696 miles in November 2020, 472,422 by November 2021, 503,089 in May 2023, 509,978 in May 2024, and 526,427 in July 2025. A gap exists between the November 2021 and May 2023 entries, but the 30,667-mile rise across that span fits the vehicle's norm. High annual use like this loads drivetrain, suspension bushes, and brake discs well beyond a light-duty unit. The clean MOT sheet means no tester flagged corrosion, binding calipers, or worn coil springs at the recorded intervals. That gives no direct evidence of structural or mechanical defect. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of chassis rails, subframe, and cab mounts for hidden rust, and measure brake disc wear and suspension articulation given the 526k mileage. Previous operators kept the truck through five consecutive passes with zero advisories, implying routine statutory testing was met. The absence of minor consumable notes such as tyre or wiper faults suggests either prompt rectification or cursory recording. At this mileage, verify service history for clutch, turbo, and differential intervals before purchase.
