2017 Ford Mondeo 2.0L Diesel · R222 ADS

The 2017 Ford Mondeo presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 14 July 2025 at 40,223 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of clean MOT outcomes across every annual examination since 2021. Annual mileage sits well below typical expectations for a nine-year-old vehicle. The record shows 19,640 miles at the June 2021 test, rising to 23,731 by June 2022, 27,387 by June 2023, 32,620 by June 2024, and 40,223 by July 2025. That equates to roughly 4,500 miles per year, confirming light use with no sudden accumulation or testing gaps. The DVSA history is sparse in advisories, showing no flagged wear on tyres, brakes, suspension bushes, or corrosion across the five-year span. A clean MOT sheet does not exempt the buyer from physical inspection. Low mileage combined with likely periods of standing can allow brake calipers to seize, tyres to craze, and underbody corrosion to develop unseen by the tester. We recommend a thorough check of brake disc condition, suspension arm bushes, and structural integrity beneath sills and subframes. Previous owners clearly kept the car to a conservative annual schedule and met each test without remedial work. The absence of recurring faults suggests conscientious basic upkeep rather than deferred maintenance, though a pre-purchase inspection remains prudent given the vehicle's age.
