2015 Toyota RAV4 2.0L Diesel · R22 MCO

The 2015 Toyota RAV4 demonstrates a stable roadworthiness trend, with the most recent MOT on 2026-03-03 confirming no defects at 100,262 miles. Previous tests from 2025-03-18 (91,989 miles) and 2024-03-21 (81,509 miles) also passed without issues, despite a failed test on 2024-03-20 (same mileage) that recorded no defects. This suggests the vehicle has maintained compliance with safety standards, though the unexplained failure in 2024 warrants scrutiny. No recurring mechanical or structural faults are evident in the record, indicating consistent maintenance practices. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for the vehicle’s age, averaging ~9,115 miles annually. The 2023-03-15 test at 72,424 miles marks the earliest recorded data, with subsequent tests spaced approximately 12 months apart. No significant gaps or rapid mileage spikes are noted, implying regular use without prolonged inactivity. The absence of defects in the last three MOTs reinforces this pattern, though the 2024-03-20 failure—despite no recorded issues—raises questions about administrative accuracy or transient technical anomalies. A buyer should inspect the suspension system for worn bushes or coil springs, as these components often degrade over time without immediate visible signs. Brake discs and calipers should be checked for uneven wear or binding, particularly given the vehicle’s age. Corrosion in the underbody or exhaust system, common in older models, requires close examination. While the MOT history shows no critical failures, these areas remain vulnerable to gradual deterioration, necessitating a hands-on assessment before purchase.
