2019 Ford Kuga 2.0L Diesel · RP12 ANG

The 2019 Ford Kuga has maintained a clean MOT history with no defects recorded across all four tests, most recently passing on 27 May 2025 at 40,138 miles. This suggests the vehicle has been consistently roadworthy under DVSA inspection standards, with no recurring advisories or major failings. The most recent test confirms the car meets current emissions and safety thresholds, though the absence of defects does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in areas like suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake caliper binding, which are not always captured in a static MOT. The lack of advisories in any test implies either diligent servicing or deferred maintenance that has yet to surface. The recorded mileage of 40,138 miles over seven years—approximately 5,734 miles annually—is unusually low for a vehicle of this age, indicating either light usage or prolonged periods of inactivity. The intervals between tests show consistent mileage accumulation: 5,457 miles between November 2022 and November 2023, and 6,967 miles between November 2023 and November 2024, before another 3,181 miles in the final stretch to May 2025. Such low mileage could mask deeper issues, as components like suspension mounts or fluid systems may degrade even without heavy use. Conversely, it may also mean the vehicle has been stored with minimal wear, though this does not guarantee corrosion-free underbody conditions or timely fluid changes. Given the clean MOT record, a buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of suspension components, particularly the rear bushes and coil springs, which are common failure points in this model. The brakes, while not flagged in tests, should be checked for uneven wear or binding calipers, as these can develop without obvious signs. Underbody corrosion—especially around wheel arches, sills, and exhaust mounts—must be scrutinised, as low mileage does not preclude rust progression. Fluid levels and condition (brakes, power steering, coolant) should also be verified, as these are not routinely tested in MOTs. The absence of advisories does not equate to flawless maintenance; a thorough mechanical review remains essential.
