2002 Kawasaki VN1500 P1H 1.5L Petrol · SV02 BDZ

This vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistent pass rate. The most recent MOT on 1 July 2025 at 7,919 miles was completed without any defects or advisories. This clean result follows a five year trend of passing first-time tests, suggesting the motorcycle has been maintained to a standard that meets all legal requirements. The mileage is exceptionally low for a 24 year old machine, averaging roughly 330 miles per year. Between May 2020 and July 2025, the odometer moved only 293 miles, from 7,626 to 7,919 miles. This indicates the bike has spent significant periods standing still rather than being used for regular transport. While the MOT record is clean, the lack of usage raises specific mechanical concerns. Buyers should inspect the fuel system for gumming or varnish and check the condition of the tyres for flat spots or perishing, as rubber degrades regardless of mileage. The brake calipers should be checked for sticking or binding, a common issue when vehicles remain stationary for long intervals. Attention should also be paid to the battery health and the presence of any surface corrosion on the frame or chrome. Because the MOT history shows no recurring faults or structural warnings, the primary risks are related to stagnation rather than wear and tear. A physical check of the fluids and a cold-start test are essential to confirm the engine remains healthy after such limited activity.
