2015 Skoda Octavia 2.0L Diesel · WL15 AAE

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, characterised by a long sequence of passes with very few recorded defects. While the latest inspection on 2026-05-16 was entirely clean, the 2025-06-07 test highlighted a cluster of wear-related advisories concerning the front braking system and tyre condition. This indicates a period where consumables were approaching their limit, though the subsequent clean pass suggests these items have since been rectified. The recorded mileage of 69,034 miles over an eleven year period represents a typical annual accumulation of approximately 6,276 miles. This steady usage pattern avoids the risks associated with long-term standing or excessive high-mileage wear on the drivetrain. Mechanically, this suggests a balanced level of wear across the chassis and engine components, with no evidence of rapid mileage increases that would typically accelerate the degradation of suspension linkages or transmission mounts. Prospective buyers should focus their attention on the front axle components, specifically the braking system and tyre wear patterns flagged in 2025. During a test drive, feel for any pedal judder or pulsations during deceleration, which would indicate that the previously worn front brake discs have not been replaced or have developed uneven wear. Listen for any grinding or squealing from the front calipers, which would suggest the brake pads are again wearing thin. Further inspection should be directed at the current tyre condition and alignment. The 2025 record specifically noted wear on the edges of the front tyres caused by over-inflation, and a 2020 advisory noted perishing on the nearside front tyre. Check for irregular wear patterns across the tread of all four tyres and ensure there is no steering pull or instability at motorway speeds, as these symptoms can stem from unresolved alignment issues or improper inflation habits.
