2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 1.5L Diesel · 1895 EL

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 23 January 2026 at 68,802 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing a four-year run of clean certificates. No advisories or mechanical faults appear across the available history, indicating the vehicle has not entered a worsening or deteriorating condition. Annual mileage has averaged close to 6,880 miles, typical for a ten-year-old car. The records show steady accumulation: 48,027 miles in January 2023, 55,531 in January 2024, 61,901 in January 2025, and 68,802 by January 2026. A failed test on 19 January 2023 at 47,961 miles listed no defects, with the vehicle passing eight days later at 48,027 miles; this suggests an administrative or non-mechanical rejection rather than a fault requiring repair. The data is sparse but consistently clean. Given the absence of flagged suspension bushes, brake discs, coil springs, or corrosion entries, the previous owner appears to have kept basic upkeep current. A buyer should still verify in person that the January 2026 pass reflects genuine condition rather than a lightly scrutinised test. Inspect tyre tread depth, wiper blades, and underbody structural integrity for hidden rust not captured by the certificate. Confirm the brake calipers are free and the exhaust emissions remain within limits during a road trial. The clean record implies responsible use, but a standalone 2023 fail with no stated defect warrants a check of the DVSA failure reason to rule out a missed mechanical item.
