A consistent record of clean MOT results over the last eight years defines this vehicle's documented roadworthiness, with the most recent test on 28 July 2026 showing no defects. This trend of passing consecutive inspections without recorded failures or advisories suggests a stable mechanical history regarding the components subject to DVSA testing standards. The absence of flagged issues across multiple annual tests indicates that the structural integrity, braking systems, and lighting have met minimum regulatory requirements throughout this period. The vehicle exhibits a low-mileage usage profile, having covered approximately 71,535 miles over its thirty-year lifespan. This equates to an average annual accumulation of roughly 2,384 miles, which is significantly lower than standard domestic driving patterns. Mechanically, such low annual mileage can mean that components like suspension bushes, steering linkages, and drivetrain elements have experienced less frictional wear than higher-mileage counterparts, but it also necessitates scrutiny of rubber components and seals that may undergo age-related degradation regardless of physical movement. Given the lack of recorded advisories for corrosion or fluid leaks, a physical inspection should focus on verifying the condition of rubberised components that are not always the primary focus of an MOT. On a test drive, pay close attention to the steering response and any potential knocks or knocks from the suspension when navigating uneven surfaces, as low-use vehicles can sometimes develop perished bushings or perished seals. Listen for any irregular engine notes or vibrations that might indicate the condition of the drive belts or engine mounts, which are critical on a vehicle of this age and specification. While the MOT history is devoid of reported defects, the low usage pattern warrants a close examination of the braking system for any signs of binding calipers or uneven pad wear that might not have reached a failure threshold. Ensure that the brake pedal feel is firm and consistent, without any sponginess or judder under deceleration. Because the official records show no history of exhaust emissions issues or structural rust, the primary focus remains on the physical integrity of age-sensitive parts that may be subject to environmental degradation during periods of limited use.
